Geo Track GT 635 description

The Geo Track GT 635 is a Geothermal Drilling Rig mounted on Caterpillar tracks. This rig was especially designed to improve efficiency of geothermal well drilling and is geared to offer the drilling contractors the most efficient and comfortable drilling environment. Its small footprint allows the rig to position itself in any location with limited access. It delivers all the power required for drilling holes from 3 inch to 12 inch (76 mm – 305 mm) wide and up to 902 ft (275 m) in any type of terrain or rock formation.

Some important features include:

- High performance and emission control turbocharged water cooled four cylinder Cummins electronic diesel engine delivers power up to 156 HP with low operation fuel consumption of 1.38gal/hr (5.2 L/hr) with a fuel tank capacity of 60 gallons (227 L).

- Allows the drilling depths of DTH percussion drilling down to 400m/1300ft with a 4.5"(114mm) rod diameter, even in hard rock formation (subject to compressor capabilities). Rotary drilling as deep as 750m/2460ft with a 3" (76mm) rod diameter, 550m/1800ft with a 4"(104mm) rod diameter and 400m/1312ft with a 4.5"(114mm) rod diameter. Auger drilling depth goes down to 110m/360ft with a 4.5"(114mm) rod diameter, 60m/200ft with a 5.5"(143mm) rod diameter and 27m/90ft with a 11"(286mm) rod diameter.

- Innovative designs offer a complete 65 degree frontal tilt of the drilling table facilitating the handling of casing, which offers the best possible productivity in a secure environment. The rig is equipped with deflectors (to discharge cuttings), adaptable to any existing casing system: Deflector/collector #1: moving on feed to always be on top on the casing; Deflector/collector #2: standard fixed under the drilling table.

- Rigid and light weight feed boom increases drilling accuracy and reduces clutter. And innovative breakout system allows the operator to easily couple and uncouple the drill tubes.

- The Geo Tack GT 635 is equipped with four outriggers, two up front and two in the back of the rig. These outriggers allow the proper positioning in any type of terrain.

- All the controls are clearly arranged and efficiently concentrated on the control stand. This clear design allows the driller to safely control and observe all operations and the borehole.

- The rig’s all major components (diesel engine, pumps, filters, etc) are designed to be easily accessible in order to facilitate maintenance operations. It is widely recognized that a proper maintenance enhances the performance and extends the life of equipment. The hydraulic pumps, motors and operating valves all are selected international high standard products. Thus, the performance of the drilling rig will be stable, creditable and long lasting.
