GT635 Geothermal Drilling Rig features allow the drilling depths of:

• DTH percussion drilling down to 400m/1300 ft with 4.5"(114 mm) rod diameter, even in hard rock formation (subject for compressor capabilities);
• Rotary drilling down to 750 m/2460 ft with 3" (76mm) rod diameter, 550m/1800 ft with 4" (104 mm) rod diameter and 400m/1312 ft with 4.5" (114 mm) rod diameter;
• Auger drilling down to110 m/360 ft with 4.5" (114 mm) rod diameter, 60 m/200 ft with 5.5" (143 mm) rod diameter and 27 m/90 ft with 11" (286 mm) rod diameter.

As an option, the GT635 Geothermal Drill Rig can be fitted on a Hydrostatic “AWD” Mobile, our 4-wheel drive system.  This setup allows the drill rig to maneuver «around» or «on diagonal». The reinforced 4-wheel drive axles can tolerate diverse terrains, as well as slopes of up to 35% and have an excellent stability equal or better to that of a track chain.

The GT635 Geothermal Drill Rig on Hydrostatic “AWD” Mobile is extremely efficient in the areas with restricted movement space and with a 110” transportation mode height, it offers an unsurpassed ease of transportation between drill sites. The drill rig can be transported using a standard 53” flatbed trailer (the maximum height allowed on North American roads is 163”).

Finally, the ruggedly built Hydrostatic “AWD” Mobile drill rig requires very little repair and maintenance, saving you valuable time and money in the drilling field.

As another option, the GT635 Geothermal Drilling Rig can be built and shipped as a Drilling platform. The Drilling platform can be custom made to fit a specific vehicle chassis specified by the customer, including 6, 8 or 12 wheels trucks, tractors, trailers etc., and will be ready to be bolted (U-bolted) to the truck chassis as specified.  If needed, it is also ready for any other setup determined by the Geothermal drilling contractors' operational requirements.

Geothermal drilling rig – Geo-Max 840 DD

Drilling Supply is proud to introduce this high performance multipurpose geothermal drill rig, the Geo-Max 840 DD, on a Caterpillar track mobile. The main advantages of GM835 are its extreme maneuverability, pullback capacity of 42000 lbs (19050 kg), hydraulic power of 290 HP, Double head designed specifically for Geothermal overburden drilling and a unique rod handling system. These features enable GM835 to easily access almost any type of difficult terrain, and give it enough power to drill in every type of mixed ground conditions (overburden / hard rock).

Some important features include:

1. Rotary Drive: Double head EURODRILL model DH1900; Integrated dual-head designed          specifically for Geothermal overburden drilling, where both, Casing and Drilling Rod   operate at the same time. Counter-clockwise operation of the Casing and Drilling Rod Gears significantly increases drilling efficiency and precision, preventing an inadvertent       release of rod and casing during the pipe feeding and discharging.


2. Robot arm, equipped with double clamps to simultaneously deliver the casing and             inner rod assembly to the rod feeder and back (feeding and discharging). This reduces the       operating time and greatly increases efficiency, since this operation can be done while     drilling.


3. GM835 features our uniquely designed hydraulic pipe rack, capable of vertically storing    10ft long pipes. The rack is attached to a hydraulic actuator, allowing it to be raised for       drilling and lowered for transportation. First Pipe Rack stores casing and inner rod    assemblies (up to 150 ft).  Second Pipe Rack stores additional inner rods (up to 400 ft).

Geothermal drilling rigs (on skid) - DP617

The DP (drilling platform) series Geothermal drilling rigs can be installed on any mobile as per drilling contractors’ preference. For example; 6 or 8 wheels trucks, skids, cabins, platforms, outlanders or any other setup dictated by the drilling contractors operation requirements. The DP series Geothermal drilling rigs can be supplied assembled on platforms or skids, or in separate modules.
