DS-6100 Track Mounted Hydraulic Diamond Drill Rig

Features and options available on our DS-6100 model
Burst Valve on Feed Cylinder
This safety feature prevents the feed cylinder from collapsing in the event of a catastrophic failure in the hydraulic hoses. Cylinders with the burst valve can be installed on existing mast without any modifications, but this feature cannot be retrofitted on existing feed cylinders.
Neutral Lock on Chuck/Rod Clamp and Rotation levers
This safety feature is now standard on all our models of drills. It will lock the levers to neutral unless the operator is pushing a button on top of the lever. This is to help reduce the chance of damaging or loosing a rod string by switching too fast from one direction of rotation to another or from passing too fast from open chuck to open clamp. This feature can be retrofitted on existing drills with certain limitations.
Lock Valve on Rod Handler’s Finger Cylinder
This safety feature is now standard on all our models of drills with a rod handler. It will prevent the
hand from opening when holding a rod if the engine is shut down. This feature can be retrofitted on all our existing hands.
Dual Electric Master Switch
This safety feature is now standard on all our models of drills. It will let you either completely cut
power for all the drill and the engine or isolate only the engine and keep the lights and the power
sockets active. This feature can be retrofitted on all engines.
Relief Valve on Pull Cylinder
This safety feature is now standard on all our models of drills. It will prevent an operator from trying to extend the mast extension by using the pull cylinder. It will also make the pull cylinder collapse if an operator tries to retract the mast extension while the pull cylinder is extended. This feature can be retrofitted on all models.
Hinged Table Lock
This safety feature is now standard on all our models of drills. This device is attached to the drill mast, close to the rod clamp, and can be flipped on the mast rail to prevent the head from sliding too low when doing maintenance on the rod clamp.
HSS Style Rod Comb
This new style of rod comb replaces the previous welded and modular models. It will let you easily reconfigure the type of rods being stacked by changing in which row the fingers are bolted. Standard rows are for N, H and P rods. This new comb style can be installed on all our existing rod racks.

Floor Rod Reference
This option is only available for drills with a rod rack. It is a simple guide on the floor that gives a
reference to place the first row of rods at the right place and angle. This option can be retrofitted on
existing drills.
Casing Clamp
This clamping device is installed under the rod clamp and eliminates the need to use pipe wrenches to break casing under the mast. When combined with the mast dump system, it makes it easier to install more than one size of casing in the ground.
Casing Puller
This system puts the rod clamp on its own slide with 12 inches of travel and 40,000lbs of pull power to give you extra strength when dealing with a stuck drill string. This option cannot be retrofitted.
Remote Mast Extension Locking Mechanism
This system eliminates the need for the helper to climb on the drill’s roof to install or remove the pin that locks the mast extension in place. The pin is now permanently fixed on the extension and a system of latches and a lever at waist level on the mast will lock and unlock the extension.
Heating System on Engine Coolant
This system circulates the engine’s coolant fluid in a combination of hoses snaking under the floor and/or heating units under the main console and behind the rod handler operator. This system cannot be retrofitted on existing drills.
